You deserve a doula that supports you. I want you to feel like you are my only client. I grew up in Central Illinois and am committed to helping women find the support they need right here. I'm a Registered Dietitian (RD) and find a healthy lifestyle to be important. I've spent time in this community making connections with other providers of healthy moms and babies. I've supported parents in hospitals and at home births; mothers through vaginal births and cesarean sections. I am passionate about giving individual support to each woman on the journey to motherhood.
I attended my first birth in 2004. I loved helping to make the birth more calm. After attending more births, I completed DONA training (2007) and certification (through 2014). I am currently certified with toLabor. I also have a Madriellacertification. You can read some testimonials from my past clients at doulamatch.com. I feel continuing education is important. I have taken Spinning Babies training (in 2015), Karen Stranges NRP Certification (2017), VBACfacts training (2016) and continue to keep my Dietitian registration. I also keep my CPR and Blood borne pathogens certifications current. I've been through the Stillbirthday Doula training.
I am a mother of six children. I understand the need for support! In my home, my husband and six children keep me learning and laughing each day.
I'm hosting a Birth Circle on the first Thursday of the month at the OSF Breastfeeding Resource Center at 7pm. Come join us!
I'm proud to be part of an association of doulas in the Central Illinois area called DoulasEtc.
